Darts and Dominoes Competition

June means only one thing in the masonic calendar and that's the annual faceoff between Harte Lodge (Hartlepool) V St Oswald (Darlington) in the eagerly anticipated Darts & Dominoes night with snooker thrown in for good measure. Both teams as usually played by the rules and brought in as many ringers from around the province as they could to enhance their chances. Both teams had pulled out all the stops to win on this evening. This was the 5th time the teams had meet, previous occasions over £2000 was raised for local charities.

Well another successful annual games night came to an end, Harte Lodge beaten on the bull by St Oswald in a thrilling night of competition. Well organised as usual by Duncan Maw. But again the big winner was charity £600 raised on the evening between the 30 masons. St Oswald took the opportunity on the night launch the St Oswald chest, this will be a key to the box draw each month with a chance to win some money, all proceeds will be for the 2021 Festival. If you fancy your chances this can be seen at their festive board from September with over £100 in the box. The money goes up and the keys go down..

The night was concluded with prize giving, Andy Thomas, WM of St Oswald happily taking the trophy from Harte Lodge WM Kevin Dixon. Duncan thanked everyone for their attendance and kind support for what was another excellent night in masonry.

Thanks to everyone who supported us tonight from around the province.
