Charity Darts Night

Harte Lodge 4217 & St Oswald's Lodge 4260 held their first Charity Darts & Domino Night at the Cricketers Arms in Coxhoe.

Its all about 'connections!' Neil Pritchard knows Duncan Maw knows Dave Lee! So where do those connections lead?

Well...Duncan is the current Worshipful Master of Harte Lodge No4217 which meets at Hartlepool whilst also being the Charity Steward of St Oswalds Lodge No4260 whose current Worshipful Master is Neil Pritchard and which meets at Darlington.

Dave Lee is a member of Longscar Lodge No6203 which also meets at Hartlepool and a regular visitor at Harte Lodge and....he's also the relatively new landlord of The Cricketer's Arms in Coxhoe!

So....with an obvious venue and 'connected' Lodges; what better way to get a group of darts and domino players together, hopefully on an annual basis, feed them pie and peas and have them raise funds for their chosen charity, "Help for Heroes?" (Both Lodges have ex-Servicemen within their membership).

The photograph shows (l-r) Neil, Duncan, and Dave in celebratory mood - no prizes for guessing which Lodge won the trophy - though Neil did win the raffle! The real winner however was the "Help for Heroes" charity which benefited to the tune of £200. Well done brethren.
